Man tries to chase fleeing puppy on Marine Parade road, waves for cars to slow down
A man was seen frantically chasing his puppy down a road at Marine Parade after it slipped away from him.
Despite his efforts, he struggled to keep up with the runaway puppy. An e-bike rider nearby attempted to help catch it, but the puppy was too quick to pursue.

Cars pass right beside man and fleeing puppy on road
The footage was uploaded to Beh Chia Lor – Singapore Road on Facebook.
The caption alleged that it was a man chasing his “pet puppy” last Sunday (20 Sept).
Footage from a car’s passenger showed the man running down the middle of Still Road in Marine Parade, with cars passing by him.
A small black puppy could be seen ahead of him. At one point, it narrowly missed being run over by the rear wheels of a car.

As the man ran, he waved for vehicles behind to slow down, which most did.
He also noticeably began to fall behind due to exhaustion, with the puppy gaining a sizeable lead.

Puppy cuts through line of cars waiting for right turn
An e-bike rider on the road tried to help by blocking the puppy’s path.

When that didn’t work, the rider gave up and rode off.
Soon, the puppy reached the intersection with East Coast Road, where a number of cars had lined up for a right turn.
The seemingly tireless dog took a sharp turn as well, cutting in between the stationary vehicles.

By this point, the pursuing man had long fallen out of frame.
Netizens question why dog wasn’t leashed
The video gained over 205,000 views on Facebook at press time, with comments expressing both amusement and concern.
“The way he ran, the dog is more important than his own life,” one user remarked.

Several netizens questioned why the owner seemingly did not leash the dog.

However, another commenter suggested that the puppy may have dashed out when the house gate opened or escaped its leash.
They thus urged others to help owners in similar situations, calling it “really stressful”.

Since the video ended without a resolution, many wondered if the man ever caught the puppy.
