On Monday (17 Oct), Dubai launched the “Moon Star Shoes”, which costs an astounding S$27 million dollars ($20 million USD).

The luxurious heels are literally from the stars because it features a piece of meteorite, according to Mumbai-based premium lifestyle website Luxurylaunches on Monday (14 Oct).

Most expensive shoes in the world

Dubai is a fan of extravagance so it’s no surprise that they nabbed the Guinness Book of World Records for selling the most expensive shoes in the world this year.

These stunning S$27 million dollar “Moon Star Shoes” are encrusted with 30 carat diamonds diamonds and a piece of the Campo del Cielo iron meteorite found in Argentina in 1576, reports Luxurylaunches.

The out-of-this world materials aren’t the only reason why these stilettos come with a jaw-dropping price tag, because the craftsmanship is premium AF too.

The heels feature a golden miniature of the Burj Khalifa – the world’s tallest building as of 2019 – so you better balance each step you make.

The opulent pair was created by Italian designer Mr Antonio Vietri, and unveiled during the Made in Italy, Designed in Emirates (MIDE) Fashion Week.

Previous titleholders

The previous titleholders for the most expensive shoes were either commissioned or created in Dubai.

The Passion Diamond Shoe is a S$23 million ($17 million USD) masterpiece studded in gold and hundreds of diamonds.

Launched in 2018, the product was a collaboration with UAE-brand Jada Dubai and Passion Jewelers.

Prior to that, a family in Dubai commissioned luxury stilettos from British designer Ms Debbie Wingham. This lead to the creation of $S21 million ($15.45 million USD) shoes with blue diamonds and rare pink diamonds.
