Motorcyclist passes away in hospital after accident with lorry in West Coast
A 30-year-old male motorcyclist died on Tuesday (20 Oct) morning after being involved in an accident with a lorry in the West Coast area.
Photos posted on Facebook showed the motorcycle lying on its side in the middle of a traffic junction.

Motorcycle & lorry stopped at West Coast traffic junction
Other photos showed that the Malaysia-registered motorcycle was inside a yellow box.
A Singapore-registered lorry had stopped further ahead, apparently while turning right at the junction.
The police had cordoned off the intersection with traffic cones, with at least one police motorcycle and two officers at the scene.

Evidence markers were also placed across the accident location, including a spot on the road as well as on the lorry involved, which was from an engineering company.

Netizen appeals for info on motorcyclist or family
In the post, the user appealed for information on the motorcyclist or his family.
He asked netizens who know his family to contact them immediately to inform them about the accident.
SG Road Vigilante also shared about the accident on its Facebook page, but revealed that the motorcycle had accumulated S$1,850 in police fines.
Motorcyclist passes away in NUH, lorry driver arrested
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 7.30am on 20 Oct.
It took place at the junction of West Coast Ferry Road and Harbour Drive, and involved a motorcycle and a lorry.
A 30-year-old male motorcyclist was sent to the hospital in an unconscious state.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which was alerted at the same time, told MS News that he was conveyed to the National University Hospital (NUH).
However, he subsequently passed away there.
Additionally, a 24-year-old male lorry driver was arrested for driving without reasonable consideration causing death.
Police investigations are ongoing.
