Following the incident, nearby bystanders rushed over to assist both involved.
“My soulmate just dropped from the sky,” the OP jokingly wrote in the caption.
Change in wind caused paratrooper to veer off course
According to Free Malaysia Today (FMT), the incident occurred during the Eagle Swift Free Fall parachute exercise series in Melaka.
The paratrooper, a corporal from the 18th Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment, had been descending toward his designated landing zone at Terendak Camp when a sudden wind shift caused him to veer off course.
Instead of landing safely on the airstrip, he crash-landed onto the passing motorcyclist.
A recovery team at the landing zone confirmed that the woman was unharmed, but she left the scene before officials could obtain further details.
Meanwhile, the corporal sustained minor injuries and was sent to Terendak Camp Hospital for treatment.
Despite the shocking nature of the accident, netizens found amusement in the situation.
One commenter jokingly suggested that the two were destined for each other and should head straight to the surau (prayer hall) to get married.
