Pokémon Safari At Sentosa Is Happening From 18-22 Apr
Pokémon fans in Singapore went into a frenzy after the opening of the Pokémon Centre in Jewel Changi Airport earlier this week.
But that appears to be just the start of the good news for Singaporean Pokémon fans.
From 18-22 Apr, Sentosa will be hosting an exclusive Pokémon Safari event featuring a 6-metre tall Lapras, dancing Pikachus and much, much more.
Inflatable Lapras and dancing Pikachus
The highlight of the event, at least for those who are looking to update their Instagram feeds, must be the 6-metre tall inflatable Lapras on display at Palawan Beach.
Those who prefer boomerang shots and videos will definitely enjoy the dance performances by Pikachus dressed in adorable costumes.
These performances are available every day at Palawan Beach and Tanjong Beach at 11.30am, 2.30pm, and 4.30pm.
You’ll also be able to spot Detective Pikachu at the event.
Not sure if that’s Ryan Reynold behind the costume. Guess you’ll have to remove his headdress and find out yourself.
Plushies on sale
Pokémon fans staying in the west who are simply too lazy to visit the Pokémon Centre in Jewel Changi Airport can also get plushies at the event, without clocking the miles.

Different plushies will be sold each day, so if you want to catch ’em all, you’d have to head down every day.
Rare Pokémon for Pokémon Go! trainers
Pokémon Go! trainers who successfully registered for the event back in March will also be able to catch rare and some never-before-seen Pokémon at the event.
Some of the rare Pokémon sighted at the event include:
- Tropius (previously exclusive to Africa)
- Shiny Lapras
- Shiny Shuckle
- Unknown
The entire venue appears to be lined with lures, so you’ll definitely get to practice your curveball technique.
