Woman calls for help after spotting giant python entering her house
Rescue workers in Sattahip district, Chonburi, Thailand, safely captured a massive python that had slithered into a 75-year-old woman’s home in the early morning of 7 July.
The homeowner, Pailin Sappana, believes the same snake had eaten several of her cats a month earlier.
4-metre-long reptile successfully captured after over 10 minutes
Fearing for her family’s safety, Pailin Sappana called the rescue service for help after spotting a large snake inside her house at around 1am.
A snake-catching specialist was dispatched to the residence and found a python over four metres long and as thick as a human leg hiding in a storage room, according to the Bangkok Post.

Using a snare pole, the officer, along with two rescue workers and two residents, wrestled the reptile for over 10 minutes before securing it in a sack.
The python was later released back into the wild.
Same python allegedly ate pet cats month earlier
Ms Pailin claimed that the same snake had entered her home about a month earlier and had eaten several of her cats.

At the time, she tried to grab its tail in an attempt to capture it, but it escaped.
On 7 July, the python was spotted raising its head from the roof, prompting the emergency call.
Woman believes snake could be spirit guardian of area
The homeowner believes the python could be a “spirit guardian” that has lived in the area for many years.
Although she felt attached to it, she could not risk letting it stay inside her home.
Ms Paiilin thinks the encounter might bring her good fortune.
As such, she plans to bet on her house number, the snake’s length, and her age in the upcoming lottery draw, reported the Daily News.
