Robinsons Heeren Promoter Is Confirmed Case Of Covid-19, Store Closes For A Day For Disinfection
Update (11 Mar, 10.53am):
Robinsons Heeren has informed us that contact tracing is ongoing, and all staff that were in close contact with the patient have been asked to self-quarantine for 14 days. Their health is being closely monitored.
Robinsons Heeren is ensuring their staffs’ safety by following guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health, as well as sanitising their premises every 2 hours.
All staff has advised to visit a doctor or the necessary health authorities should they feel ill.

A letter circulating on WhatsApp claims a third-party promoter working at Robinsons Heeren tested positive for Covid-19, and was admitted to the hospital yesterday (9 Mar).
The letter also stated that the department store is closed for disinfection and cleaning today (10 Mar), but will resume operations tomorrow (11 Mar).

Promoter did not display any symptoms
The third-party promoter worked at Robinsons Heeren from 28 Feb to 3 Mar.
According to the letter, she passed their “rigorous temperature checks” and did not display any symptoms of Covid-19.

The letter also claims that she was linked to the cluster of infections at SAFRA Jurong.
Robinsons Heeren closed for disinfection
Robinsons Heeren stated in the letter that they had closed their store early on 9 Mar. They have supposedly been disinfecting it since 11pm on the same day.
The department store was closed today (10 Mar), as well, although the letter states that they intended to resume operations this morning.
Employees’ and customers’ safety their “top priority”
Robinsons Heeren claims that they have been disinfecting their store on a daily basis ever since DORSCON Orange was announced. They intend to continue doing so, along with compulsory temperature checks and travel declaration exercises.
They said in the letter,
The well-being of our people and customers is a top priority.
They urged customers and employees to seek medical attention if they felt unwell.
Singapore has 160 cases as of 9 Mar, with more than half recovered
As of 10.08am today, Singapore has 160 confirmed cases of Covid-19.
93 have recovered, adding to the promising discharge rate.
The cluster at SAFRA Jurong is now Singapore’s largest, with 36 confirmed cases being linked to it so far.
