RSAF Regular Moonlighted As Delivery Personnel Jailed For Rash Act
Earlier in March, there were reports of a high-speed chase at a multi-storey carpark in Sembawang, which ended with the police arresting a man.

Turns out, that person the police was apprehending happened to be a regular of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).
He claims to have resisted arrest as he did not want anyone to find out about his side job as a delivery personnel.
However, police officers apparently found over 200 e-vaporisers in his possession.
The court has since sentenced him to three weeks in jail and suspended his driving licence for a year.
RSAF regular who moonlighted as a delivery personnel was at the carpark to pick up goods
27-year-old Lin Guo Jie (transliterated from Mandarin), pleaded guilty to a charge of rash act endangering the life or the personal safety of others.
According to Shin Min Daily News, the incident took place on 28 Mar, 7.58pm, at a multi-storey carpark at Block 592 Montreal Link in Sembawang.

At the time, Lin was an RSAF regular who was moonlighting as a delivery personnel.
That night, he was at the carpark to pick up some goods when he heard someone yell, “Police!”.
Lin then put the goods in his car and tried to drive away.
Attempted to drive away when police officer was distracted
Apparently, the police were conducting a sting operation in the area that same evening.
A police officer spotted Lin’s car and asked him to come out of his vehicle to assist in the investigations.
Lin was initially cooperative until two riders on e-bikes distracted the officer. He took this opportunity, jumped back in his vehicle, and tried to drive off.

He intended to drive from the fifth storey to the sixth, but realised a police car was in his way. So, he U-turned back to the police officer’s original position.

The officer then told Lin to get out of his car once more and attempted to open the door on the passenger’s side.
It was at this moment when Lin stepped on the accelerator and sped down to the first storey.
There, police officers stationed on the first floor managed to intercept the 27-year-old and apprehended him.

Furthermore, Lin reportedly had 200 e-vaporisers in his possession which he claimed he had no knowledge of, in addition to 20 other parcels.

The court has since sentenced him to three weeks in jail and suspended his driving licence for a year.
During his hearing, Lin said that he resisted arrest as he did not want anyone to find out he was moonlighting as a delivery personnel.
He also claimed that he took on the side job as he was facing financial difficulties.
