Sang Tawan Farm Cafe In Bangkok Has A Mini Waterfall & Is Near The Airport
You may have visited Bangkok to shop and eat like crazy, but we’ve recently discovered that you can enjoy nature while binging as much as you can on Thai cuisine.
Sang Tawan Melon Farm cafe has a stunning indoor waterfall and local dishes crafted around fresh fruits and vegetables.
Bask in the scenic view of waterfalls and lush green plants as you order from an affordable menu filled with noodles, desserts and salads.
Let’s take a tour around this establishment which gives a massive upgrade to your morning coffee runs.
Gorgeous indoor waterfall
An exquisite indoor waterfall amidst a small pond distinguishes Sang Tawan Farm from the many cafes you’ve visited within Thailand.
Their indoor waterfall perfectly mimics the mountainous falls scattered across the country. The falls may not be as massive or majestic as the real deal, but still looks impressive enough for the ‘gram.
Visitors can easily catch-up with friends and take a seat on top of large stone blocks, as they enjoy the rush of running water.
You can reach your table by walking through these stone steps but do be careful to ensure you don’t slip and fall.
While you’re waiting for your meal, hangout in the bridge and explore their sparkling ponds.
Indulge in a Thai melon feast
Melon lovers should add Sang Tawan Farm to their bucket list.
The farm has curated a delectable menu centred around their star produce — fresh Thai melon. Crowd favourites include ice-blended melon shakes and melon cakes directly sourced from the farm next door.
A tray of large fresh melons costs about S$6.28 (145 Baht). When it comes to fruits, the fresher the better. We’re curious to know how melon tastes when it’s straight from the source.
Their salads have copious amounts of melon slices, peeled apples, dried tomatoes and green leafy vegetables.
A tray of papaya salad costs S$6.50 (150 Baht).
Beat the heat with a cup of ice blended melon juice for S$2.60 (60 Baht) on the side.
Visit a Thai Melon farm
Once you’re full, take a trip to Sang Tawan Farm’s melon plantation that will let you stroll among melon vines. You might be able to talk to some local farmers to learn how they grow melons from scratch.
We’re hoping we can bring lots of fresh melons home but be sure to bring a large luggage ahead of time.
How to get there
Sang Tawan Farm is a 1-hour and 30-minute drive from Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
The cafe is along Sinphatthanathani 10 and a few metres past Melon Farm.
Parking is available for those that plan to drive to this destination. If you want a seat near the waterfall, you may have to call ahead of your trip to make a booking.
