Sasa Will Close All 22 Outlets Across Singapore
Most 90s kids will remember spotting the iconic fuchsia pink Sasa signboard in many heartland districts in Singapore.
Come 2020, this sight may be no more.
Sasa – an affordable cosmetics retailer based in Hong Kong – will be closing all of their 22 stores across the island.
This is a decision they’ve arrived at after years of gracing our shores as the go-to store for discounted perfume & makeup brands.
Suffered losses for 6 consecutive years
The reason for the sudden closure of all their outlets in Singapore is to stem the losses they’ve been suffering for “6 consecutive years”, reports 8WorldNews.
Sasa has attempted to streamline their business in the past, but sales still haven’t been “satisfactory”.
Will close all 22 stores in Singapore
Due to the dismal profits, Sasa decided to close all 22 outlets across the island.
About 170 local employees of these stores will be affected, but Sasa has promised to pay them fair “compensation”, as per the country’s employment laws.
No closing date announced yet, but sales are expected
Sasa hasn’t announced an exact closing date yet, but we expect massive closing sales to accompany their imminent departure.

Watch out for closing sales at Sasa
Since we’ll be bidding Sasa – our 90s makeup brand & cheap hand wipes haunt – goodbye, do watch out for closing sales at all outlets, as they try to clear their stock.
To those already mourning the demise of Sasa in Singapore, The Straits Times has reported that Malaysia’s stores will remain open — which means you’ll still be able to drop by on your JB road trips.
