Singapore Bikers Hopeful For Second Chance To Complete Ride To Scotland

Conventional trips from Singapore to the United Kingdom often involve airplanes.
This local duo decided to defy the norm and planned to bike all the way there instead, crossing 8 countries along the way.
However, their thrilling endeavor in 2019 was unfortunately interrupted by a hiccup in Pakistan, forcing them to fly back home.
They shared their journey in this Facebook post yesterday (7 Jun) evening, which already has more than 2.1k shares.
Despite the regrettable circumstances, the bikers remain hopeful that they can one day fulfill their life-long dream.
From Ang Mo Kio to Scotland
In mid-2019, the two Singaporeans went on a biking expedition, starting from the heartlands of Ang Mo Kio with the intention to end at St Abbs in Scotland.
In the video, we observed that their journey covered an extensive range of cities in Asia to the Middle East, capturing the scenic beauty of each destination.
Their Facebook page 2 Man 2 Bike: From Ang Mo Kio to St Abbs, documents their entire adventure, whizzing past highways in Penang and valleys in Pakistan.
Met with an accident
After completing their route in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, India and Pakistan, they were only left with Iran, Turkey and Europe to conquer.
Sadly, they were forced to make a detour due to a “hiccup”.
2 Man 2 Bike told MS News that they met with a skidding accident in Pakistan, causing one of them to suffer from a leg fracture.
As his leg had to be operated on, they made the decision to return to Singapore to get the medical assistance needed.
Bikers tremendously hopeful
Though this disturbance was a “painful and excruciating” experience, both of them expressed their desire to one day continue their adventure.
They never gave up on this dream, put on hiatus exactly a year ago. After all, not only was it enriching to learn about new cultures, meeting people along the way is a “very fulfilling” experience indeed.
Netizens in the comments carry a deep respect for the bikers and are intrigued by what they have already achieved.
They urge the two to embark on a second attempt, when the world is ‘ready’ as they look forward to more scenic images of their travels.

While the current situation might not be optimal for a ride across the world, they are hoping to hop on their motorbikes once it gets better.
