Mum Hands Child Chocolates To Give To Choa Chu Kang Truck Driver
The people who keep Singapore clean rarely get the thanks they deserve.
But a Singaporean mum’s decision to show a bit of kindness to a driver of a rubbish truck could perhaps be the inspiration we need to change that.
Setting the example for her young child, she proves that there’s hope yet for a more compassionate society.
Mum gives driver chocolate through truck window
Facebook user Faiz Roslan shared a heartwarming scene he witnessed in Choa Chu Kang yesterday (19 Nov), via 2 pictures he had captured.
A mum, carrying her young son on one arm, walked up to the driver’s side window of a rubbish truck and stopped momentarily.
She then held the little boy’s hand up to the open window, while the driver reached his hand down in tandem.
In his small hand were a few packets of chocolates that he probably gave to the truck driver out of appreciation for his work.
Faiz accompanied the pictures with the caption:
Shared some chocolates, exchange a flying kiss. Thank them for keeping our hometown clean. Teach them to spread kindness from young.
Though small, the little boy’s gesture can greatly influence his attitude towards others, which is perhaps why Faiz advises adults to teach kids from young.
Set a good example for the future generations
The mum deserves praise too, for being such a good example for her child and inculcating positive values in him from a young age.
That she managed to do so through such a small yet impactful act of kindness is truly commendable.
On top of academic excellence and success, parents should also remember that developing their child’s moral character is important. After all, it doesn’t take much, as this mum has shown. Kudos to her for being so kind and considerate.
