Volt Auto identified man apparently seen vaping at Waterway Point
The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) is investigating after a man was seen appearing to use an e-vaporiser at a road show in Waterway Point.
In footage posted by @sgfollowsall on Instagram, the man put a device to his mouth a few times in the Village Square of the mall in Punggol.

Man puts item to mouth in front of group of people nearby
According to the caption, the clip was recorded at about 7.20pm on 30 Aug, at a Dongfeng Motors road show in Waterway Point.
The man, who was wearing a long-sleeved shirt and pants despite it being a Sunday, sat at a table looking at his phone.
He then glanced up furtively before taking out an item with his left hand.

He then put it to his mouth, even though there was a group of people, including a child, at another table nearby.
Man uses device again, smoke comes out
After doing this, the man held the item in his hand for a while and continued to inspect his surroundings.

He then slowly raised the device to his mouth again.

This time, a puff of white smoke seemed to come out of his mouth.

Man seen taking puffs before video, HSA report made
The OP said that before the video was taken, they noticed that he kept taking puffs from his device.
This surprised them, as he was in the middle of a busy mall that had families with children walking around.
The OP’s companion has already reported the matter to HSA, but has not received an update.
Company identifies man in video
Volt Auto, which distributes Dongfeng vehicles in Singapore, told Lianhe Zaobao in response to queries that it was aware of the video and had identified the man in it.
But as the matter is being handled internally, it could not disclose whether he is an employee, a sales promoter, or staff from one of its partners.
The company is taking the matter seriously and would cooperate with the authorities, it also said.
However, as the matter is still being dealt with, it would be inappropriate to reveal at this stage whether specific action has been taken against the individual involved.
HSA investigating incident
HSA told the Chinese paper that it is also aware of the incident and is investigating it.
It advised the public to report similar incidents via its online reporting platform or by calling 6684 2036 or 6684 2037 between 7am and midnight daily.
