‘McDonald’s, you want to give or you don’t want to give?’: Woman questions Woodlands McDonalds for the amount of tartar sauce in burger

A woman in Singapore was disappointed after receiving a McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish with what she described as barely any tartar sauce.

Instagram user Cheedok shared a video of the burger on Monday (14 Sept), showing what appeared to be only a few splashes of sauce.

“Barely any sauce” on Filet-O-Fish

According to Cheedok, her order arrived at around 10.25pm on Sunday (13 Sept).

She said she had not eaten since the afternoon and was looking forward to having her McDonald’s meal, and hence ordered food via the Grab app at 9.36pm.

Before eating, she opened the burger to check it.

However, she was surprised by the amount of tartar sauce on the Filet-O-Fish.

“The tartar sauce looked like it had been squeezed like tiny mosquito bites!” she told MS News.

She described the amount as “barely any sauce” and said she found it disappointing.

In the video shared on Instagram, the burger appeared to have only around three small splashes of tartar sauce.

She jokingly addressed McDonald’s in the video, saying, “If you want to give, you give properly. You don’t want to give, don’t give”.

Grab compensates customer S$9.90

The customer said she showed the burger to her friend before deciding to submit feedback through Grab.

Grab subsequently got back to her and compensated her S$9.90, she said.

However, she pointed out that the compensation came from Grab rather than McDonald’s.

She said this experience was what prompted her to make the video the next day.
