Pasar malams may not be the first place one thinks of for buying CNY decor, but these days, what can’t you find there?
Well, we’ll tell you what you can find in Woodlands for the rest of this month besides mouth-watering food: Chinese New Year mouse statues.
Of course, you’ll find all the usual fare at this Pasar Malam located next to Woodlands MRT station, from claw machines to bubble tea. But because CNY is coming, there’s something a little special for the families out there.

Most of your favourites, from takoyaki stands to churros coated in chocolate, are in fact present at the pasar malam.
You’ll also get to watch these blowtorch-seared beef cubes in action, as they are doused in flames for your viewing and subsequent gastronomic pleasure.
The cubes are then topped off with cheese, which is similarly melted with the blowtorch — giving a gooey and irresistibly decadent texture.

Popular finger-food exponents O’Briam are also at Woodlands, and one look at their choco cheese goreng pisang (banana fritters) is enough to see why.
Of course, one can’t forget about the drinks – stalls like KEcha have all the trendy bubble tea varieties to fill your tummy with a sense of contentment and later, regret. But contentment comes first.
There are also a vast array of claw machines available, so you can win toys to your heart’s content.
Arcade-style games are also available, and you can stand to win great prizes such as phones and Minion figurines.
