Tampines Residents Scold Boys After Catching Them In HDB Lift Together
As we enter the half-way mark of this ‘Circuit Breaker’ (CB) period, many can’t help but feel stifled by the isolation.
A group of boys was recently caught having a reunion in an HDB lift by neighbours living in the same block.
The neighbours quickly lashed out at them and recorded the whole incident on video. The boys eventually managed to exit the lift and promptly escaped down the stairwell.
4 boys seen in Tampines HDB lift together
In a video posted on Tuesday (21 Apr) by Facebook group All Singapore Stuff, we see 4 youths crowding in a HDB lift as the door open on a particular level.
The incident reportedly happened on Sunday (19 Apr) at Blk 290 along Tampines Street 22Tampines Street 22.
The neighbour can be heard ‘tsk-ing’ from behind the camera, criticising the boys for ignoring CB rules.
Though the boys’ reunion did appear to breach social-distancing measures with their close proximity, each of them was wearing a face mask.
Realising that they have been caught red-handed, they hid their faces from the camera and tried to leave the elevator.
Escaped from HDB lift and ran down the stairwell
As they vacated the lift, the neighbours started raising their voice, urging them to “stay inside”.
The boys, however, continued moving and scurried down the stairwell in a valiant attempt to escape.
The neighbour followed closely behind for a while, shouting at them with the camera in hand. He stopped when the band of youths were out of sight.
Abide by the CB rules
We hope the boys learn their lesson after the incident and will abide more strictly to Covid-19 rules.
With only 15 days left into the CB, let’s try to diligently follow guidelines put in place. Hopefully, our efforts will pay off in the days and weeks to come.
