For most people, the sight of creepy crawlies is an absolute nightmare, more so if you need to see them every day on your way home.
This is what happened to one Facebook user, who came across a CCTV in his HDB lift gorily stuffed with maggots.
He posted an image and a video on Wednesday evening (20 May), appealing to authorities to help clean the device.
CCTV infested with maggots, located in netizen’s HDB lift
As stated in the comments, this incident occurred at the resident’s house lift around Tampines area.
It seems like this has been occurring for quite some time, stated the netizen who apparently emailed and called authorities like the Housing Development Board (HDB) and the Town Council.
Despite so, the CCTV was still swarming with insects when he shared this image.
Not only is it a pretty nasty sight, the resident could also smell a repulsive odour emanating from it.
Appeals to authorities for help
Hence, he took to Facebook, pleading authorities to “do something about it”.
Netizens in the comments were similarly appalled by the stomach-churning CCTV.
We hope they can clean up the lift soon
MS News has reached out to Tampines Town Council for comment and will update the article as soon as we get a response.
Hopefully, actions have already been taken to aid residents living in the flat.
