Jay Chou decided not to sell 3rd-tier tickets after receiving feedback
Jay Chou’s concerts in Singapore have always been sold-out affairs.
However, the Taiwanese singer-songwriter’s previous concerts here have been marred by complaints about the sound quality.
On Friday (11 Oct), the opening night of his three-day tour in Singapore, Jay Chou revealed that he decided not to release tickets for the higher-tier seats after receiving such feedback from previous concerts here.
Chou said he did so as he wanted fans to have a good concert experience, claiming that concertgoers might have trouble hearing from the upper-tier seats of the National Stadium.
During the concert, Chou also encouraged fans to leave feedback on his Instagram page.
The Taiwanese star claimed he loved reading fans’ comments, especially the “positive” ones.
Chou’s solution to the complaints appeared to have worked.
In his latest Instagram post shared on Friday (11 Oct) night, there were no mentions of subpar sound quality during the concert.
Tickets for 3rd-tier seats not listed in seating plans
Seats beyond the second tier were not included in the seating plan for Chou’s 2024 concert in Singapore.
This can be observed in a video taken from the stage during the show.
Seats on the 3rd and highest tier were visibly empty, evident from the seats’ red and white covers.
In contrast, tickets for the 3rd tier were sold during Chou’s previous concert here in 2022.
MS News has reached out to concert organisers Horizon Production for more information regarding the unlisted seats.
