iPhone owner in Singapore threatens to curse person who ‘picked up’ their device
Desperate to get back their missing iPhone, the phone owner resorted to cursing the person who picked it up.
A user on the Complaint Singapore Facebook group posted a picture on Monday (25 Nov), showing what appeared to be a message seen at a lift lobby in Singapore.
The person who put up the paper purportedly lost their missing iPhone — a purple one with a light pink case.
For undisclosed reasons, the phone owner seemed certain that someone had picked up their device.
As such, the person requested the return of their iPhone, which they had put into “lost mode” to make it inaccessible.
They asked the alleged culprit to either call the number on the missing iPhone’s screen or return it to a police station.
They promised to reward the person should they do so but did not go into the details about what it entails.
However, if the person chooses not to return the phone, the owner threatens to curse them for life.
The note ends off with what looked like a Taoist fulu talisman.
“I’ll destroy the curse charm after you return [the phone],” wrote the owner.
The OP said she found the notice in the East of Singapore.
Commenters say talisman needs to be in colour
The letter and alleged curse amused netizens.
One joked said the curse wouldn’t work as the talisman needed to be printed in colour and according to the right dimensions.
“You never try, you will never know,” another commenter wrote.
The OP, however, did not think the curse would be very successful.
“If you want your curse to work, you can’t print it.” They said, accompanied by multiple laughing emojis.
