Abused toddler after he spat out milk
At around 3pm on 13 Aug 2024, the teacher was feeding the 16-month-old boy milk when he spat it out.
She then slapped his hand once before continuing to feed him.
After feeding him, she pulled his hand and slapped it three more times, then pushed his face, causing him to tilt to one side.
She later grabbed his hand again and slapped it another six times, before pushing his face again, causing his head to swing to the other side.
In total, she slapped the boy’s hands at least 10 times and pushed his face at least twice.
CCTV review uncovered multiple incidents
In a separate incident on the morning of 25 Sept 2024, she abused an eight-month-old boy by striking his head, placing him roughly on the floor, and shaking him while he was lying down.
The case came to light on 26 Sept 2024 after the preschool received a report and reviewed its CCTV footage, uncovering suspected abuse involving both her and another teacher.
That teacher was dismissed on the same day, while the accused was terminated on 2 Oct 2024.
The matter was subsequently reported to the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), and she was arrested on 13 Nov 2024.

Another teacher, a 37-year-old woman, was later charged with three offences involving three children aged between eight months and one year.
Her alleged acts included force-feeding children until they vomited and stuffing a bib into a baby’s mouth. Her case is ongoing.
Jailed after pleading guilty to one charge
The accused faced two charges under the Children and Young Persons Act.
She pleaded guilty to one, with the other taken into consideration for sentencing, and was sentenced on 10 April to eight months and two weeks’ jail.
Due to a gag order, details that could identify the children, including the names of the accused and the preschool, cannot be reported.
