Students return lost wallet with cash and items intact, owner thanks them
Three students from Beatty Secondary School have been praised online after returning a lost wallet with its contents intact.
A TikTok user named Daywee shared a video on Friday (21 Aug) thanking the students for their honesty and kindness.
According to the camera footage, the incident happened on 12 Aug at about 4.56pm.

The owner said the students’ actions had “restored my faith in the kindness of young people today”.
Students found wallet on Bus 129
According to the account, the three students found the wallet on Bus 129.
The boys subsequently used the identification and address found inside the wallet to locate its owner.

They then went to the owner’s home and returned the wallet to him in person.
One of the students could be heard telling the owner that they had found the wallet on the bus and had followed the address on his IC to find him.
“We found your wallet on bus 129,” a student holding his wallet said into the CCTV camera.
“And then we just followed [the address on your Identification Card], then we came here to try to give this to you.”
He also reassured the owner that everything was still inside.
“Everything inside. Everything inside,” he said in the video.

Student tells owner his money is still inside
At the start of the video, the student appears to speak to the owner through the CCTV camera.
He tells the owner they have his wallet and reassures him that his money had not been taken.
“Your wallet, right? … Got everything inside,” he said.
“Your money also inside, I never take, don’t worry [sic].”

The students then asked the owner to come out and collect his wallet.
One of the boys also appeared to joke about receiving a small reward for returning it.
However, the light-hearted exchange did not detract from the students’ actions, and the wallet was ultimately returned to its owner with its contents intact.
Owner says students restored his faith in young people
In his TikTok post, the owner expressed his gratitude towards the three students.
He said their decision to return the wallet and leave everything untouched meant more to him than they might realise.
“Your honesty and kindness mean more to me than you know,” he wrote.

He also thanked them for “doing the right thing” and said their actions had restored his faith in the kindness of young people.
The heartwarming encounter has since drawn attention online, with netizens too echoing that the students’ simple act of honesty served as a reminder that small gestures can make a significant difference to someone else.
