SBS Transit MRT train models on buses called ‘cute’ by netizens, recruitment campaign will run until November
“I thought I was hallucinating,” a netizen said after spotting the strange sight of MRT trains on the roof of an SBS Transit bus.
Of course, they were just mini models. Regardless, they quickly caught the attention of many for being “cute”.

Netizens share sightings of SBS Transit buses with MRT train models
On 28 Aug, TikTok user @groceryham posted a video of SBS Transit bus service 174 on the road. On the rear of the bus’s roof were two ‘mini MRT trains’ in two different models.
The netizen also captured a side view, which showed that they were models of an entire MRT train carriage.

She jokingly said that she thought she was hallucinating at first.
Netizens in the comments section shared their own sightings of other SBS Transit buses with the model trains.
“It’s so cute,” one user remarked with a daytime photo of the bus in Sengkang.

“Omg I saw it recently too,” another commenter wrote, showing the rear view of the train models.

Notably, all of them came with a message encouraging people to join SBS Transit for a career with purpose.
SBS Transit MRT model trains part of rail recruitment campaign
SBS Transit spokesperson Grace Wu told MS News that they worked with Moove Media to create an eye-catching idea for their rail recruitment campaign.
“With much of our rail network running underground, we wanted to bring our trains above ground in a way that would capture attention and spark curiosity,” Mrs Wu said.

The 3D MRT train models on the buses are made visible to motorists and pedestrians as a fresh and creative way to showcase rail career opportunities.
The campaign is featured on 20 buses operating on SBS Transit services across Singapore and will run until the end of November 2026.
