Rurusama says jokingly that people who don’t shower before flights ‘should be arrested’
Flying is already stressful enough without having to deal with people who don’t shower before flights.
Singaporean content creator Rurusama, who goes by @kirbyruruagain on TikTok, seems to feel strongly about this.
Traumatised by people who don’t shower before flights
In a TikTok posted on Tuesday (8 Sept), she said that people who don’t shower before boarding a flight “should be arrested”.
The video shows Rurusama go into an animated rant about passengers who turn up for flights without showering.
“Why are you going up the plane already marinated?” she asked in the video captioned “I am traumatised”.

She then compared such passengers to “a seasoned chicken” that had been “marinated in the fridge for like 12 hours”.
“By the way, putting on deodorant is not showering, okay. Perfume is also not showering,” she added. “I don’t want to smell you before I ever reach my seat.”

Rurusama also addressed passengers who might argue that they had already showered the previous night.
“Some people argue that, oh babe, I showered last night. I ate yesterday too. I took a sh** yesterday too,” she retorted.
Her solution was simple: “Shower at every major plot points in your life.”
Netizens agree with Rurusama
A netizen agreed with Rurusama but defended those who might have stayed overnight at the airport or been transferred from another flight.

Stuck between two passengers who ‘didn’t shower’
Speaking to MS News, Rurusama shared that she was on a flight back to Singapore from Japan.
“I was stuck between two passengers who just obviously didn’t shower,” she said.
When asked if this was the first time this had happened, she said: “It has happened before, but I think this was the worst case ever. It smells so sour.”
Rususama also lost her appetite because she was stuck in the middle seat, with both of “their scents mixed together”.
