32-year-old man seen being restrained by police on 1st floor of Tiong Bahru Plaza
A 32-year-old man was arrested at Tiong Bahru Plaza shopping mall on Monday (7 Sept) night for drug-related offences, the police said.
Footage of the incident shared on XiaoHongShu showed him being restrained by two police officers.

Crowd gathers to see man struggling with police officers
The original poster (OP) said he had just left Uniqlo when he saw a crowd gathered to watch an incident.
His clip depicted several onlookers staring at a man struggling against a wall near the McDonald’s outlet on the first floor, while police officers held on to him.

A woman stood nearby clutching some items and using her phone, while another woman picked up a backpack from the floor.

Man checked using police patrol at Tiong Bahru Plaza
In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said the incident happened at about 8.30pm on Monday, when its officers were conducting patrols at 302 Tiong Bahru Road — the address of Tiong Bahru Plaza.
They approached a 32-year-old man for a routine check and found that he was wanted for drug-related offences.
While he was being arrested, necessary force had to be used to restrain him as he put up a struggle.
An e-vaporiser was also found in his possession.
Offences referred to CNB & HSA
The drug-related offences have been referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), SPF said.
The vape-related offence has been referred to the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) for further investigations.
Police investigations are ongoing.
