Car Mounts Kerb & Nearly Crashes Into 2 Vehicles While Changing Lanes In Bendemeer
A white Mitsubishi came close to crashing into two other cars while driving along Bendemeer Road recently.
The car was seen mounting a kerb, before it swerved across lanes, narrowly missing one car.
Shortly after, while signalling to enter the rightmost lane, it lightly bumped into the side of another car.
Car weaves across lanes along Bendemeer Road
According to the ROADS.sg Facebook page, which shared the video, the incident occurred at around 4.10pm yesterday (1 Jan).
Dashcam footage showed a white Mitsubishi making its way to Bendemeer Road from Geylang Bahru.
The driver appeared to have gotten too close to the kerb on the right, which led to the car mounting it as it came to a stop at the stop line.

After turning onto Bendemeer Road, the Mitsubishi driver attempted to filter into the rightmost lane.
The car narrowly avoided crashing into an approaching car, and quickly swerved back into the second lane.

Fortunately, the driver’s quick reflexes helped to prevent a full-on collision.

Mitsubishi grazes another car while changing lanes
After driving with its right signal on for about 30 seconds, the Mitsubishi driver attempted to filter into the rightmost lane once again.
Despite there being another vehicle in the way, the white Mitsubishi slowly inched its way to the right, seemingly nudging the other vehicle — a black car.

Despite the contact, the white car overtook the black car and continued moving forward in the rightmost lane. It’s unclear what happened next, as the footage ends there.

Driver’s skills & safety spark concerns
Some netizens who have seen the footage expressed alarm, and wondered if the driver has a valid licence.

However, a “Daryl Trolls” commented on the ROADS.sg Facebook post, identifying himself as the driver’s godson.
He claimed that the driver suffered a stroke during the incident, and had stopped the car shortly after the footage was cut off. An ambulance was called to ferry the driver to the hospital, and the car was towed away, he added.
In 2022, a Singapore-registered car ended up hitting another vehicle twice while changing lanes at a Johor checkpoint.
