She was accused of moonlighting as a hostess at various establishments even though she applied to the manpower ministry as a clerk.

According to The Straits Times (ST), Han was handed two new charges under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act on Tuesday (24 Oct) morning.

The 29-year-old had declared in her work permit application that she would be employed as a clerk for a company called KDL Elements.

However, she reportedly had no intention of doing so.

The charge sheets stated that Han moonlighted as a freelance hostess at several locations from Aug to Oct 2023, reports Channel NewsAsia (CNA).

Han previously indicated that she wished to plead guilty to the charges relating to the incident at SGH.

Her stance seemed unchanged despite the new charges. She expressed her desire to plead guilty to all eight charges through a Mandarin interpreter.

She is set to plead guilty tomorrow (25 Oct).

Potential bailor deemed ineligible

During the hearing, it was also revealed that Han’s proposed bailor had been deemed ineligible.

Han also requested an overseas call, telling the judge she needed to settle her credit card debts and payment for her mortgage.

The 29-year-old, however, was told that she was only allowed to make a local call to make the necessary arrangements.
