NTUC FairPrice Now Has Vans Going To 5 Places, So Elderly Can Get Groceries Easier

NTUC FairPrice Vans Filled With Essentials Visits 5 Neighbourhoods, Bringing Groceries To The Elderly

Since the ‘Circuit Breaker’ was announced, supermarkets like NTUC FairPrice have experienced a jump in online orders. To cope with them, they’re finding alternative ways of getting groceries to their customers.

Starting today (23 Apr), NTUC FairPrice will be bringing groceries to 5 locations around Singapore with their new initiative, FairPrice On Wheels.

The project aims to shorten the distance between residents and the supermarket, so they don’t have to travel too far for groceries.

This is particularly helpful to the elderly, as well as those helping the elderly with their shopping.

They operate daily from 9am-2pm, and will continue doing so as long as there is sufficient demand for it.

Heads up for those who intend to purchase, they only accept cash.

Safe distancing measures still in place

Safe distancing measures will still hold at the vans’ locations.

Customers must wear masks, and maintain a 1-metre distance from each other while queueing. Work areas will be disinfected regularly as well.
