ABC Brickworks Food Centre In Alexandra Shuts Doors Temporarily From 16 Mar Onwards For Repairs

ABC Brickworks Food Centre, located between Queenstown and Redhill is a popular food destination among Singaporeans — even for those who stay in the eastern side of the island.

With famous hawker stalls selling a wide range of dishes like Hokkien mee, char siew and even ais kacang, it’s pretty easy to see why.

If you are a regular of ABC Brickworks Food Centre, we advise heading down to enjoy their good food ASAP.

That’s because the market cum food centre will be closed for roughly 2 months for repair works, starting 16 Mar.

But don’t worry, the closure will only be temporary. The market will open roughly 2 months later on 15 May.

R&R is necessary to upkeep the appearance of our hawker centres

According to a National Environmental Agency (NEA) announcement, repair works will commence on 16 Mar and end on 15 May 2020.

Apart from ABC Brickworks, other hawker centres slated for renovation include:

  • Circuit Road Food Market & Food Centre (10 Feb till 31 Mar)
  • Toa Payoh Lorong 5 Market & Food Centre (3 Feb till 13 Mar)
  • Bedok 85 Market & Food Centre (10 Feb till 17 Apr)
  • Clementi Avenue 2 Market & Food Centre (2 Mar till 26 Apr)

To ensure cleanliness in public areas, spring cleaning of hawker centres is an absolute necessity.
