He took time out to attend a Deepavali event at Zhangde Primary School on 17 Nov (Sat), coming dressed for the occasion.

Mr Chan wrote in his post that he was heartened to see more than 700 Tanjong Pagar and Radin Mas residents coming together to celebrate Deepavali.

We also spotted Ms Indranee Rajah in attendance, in a beautiful red sari. Here they are lighting the flames as part of the opening ceremony.
