Canberra MRT Station Between Sembawang & Yishun

There’s good news for over 17,000 households living in Sembawang and Yishun — Canberra MRT is set to open on 2 Nov 2019.

This means no more feeder buses to Sembawang or Yishun MRT, now that there’ll be an MRT station just a 10-minute walk away.

Journey to town 10 minutes shorter

Canberra station will make the trip to Orchard or Jurong East up to 10 minutes shorter, according to the Land Transport Authority (LTA).

Both Jurong East and Orchard will be just 10 stops away.

Here are some of the cool facilities that’ll be available at the station:

  • A link bridge
  • Sheltered walkways to bus stops
  • More than 500 bicycle parking lots

Residents in the area will surely find travelling a lot more convenient with all the amenities in place.

Convenient commute for residents

With 75% of construction completed, Canberra MRT will be ready to serve commuters in a few months’ time.

The one-day closure of the 5 stations would be worth it, as Canberra residents can look forward to a lifetime of convenient commutes.
