The snake then apparently went missing for 2 days before reappearing inside the front engine of a Silvercab taxi.

According to Lianhe Zaobao, passers-by had recently spotted a 2-metre python at block 88A Redhill Close, which is a multi-storey carpark.

They notified a pest control company, but the snake was missing when staff arrived at the scene.

On Saturday (4 Jan), the huge serpent made an appearance again, this time at a startling place — inside the hood of a Silvercab taxi.

The driver had apparently parked the cab with its hood ajar for the entire day, according to a 56-year-old woman interviewed by Lianhe Zaobao.

Kind residents who spotted the snake reportedly left notes warning the taxi driver of the reptile lurking in its bonnet.

The surprising discovery presumably intrigued passers-by, and a crowd soon gathered around the vehicle.

Cab had to be sent to a workshop to remove python

Staff from ACRES later arrived at around 12pm that day to remove the reptile.

There was, however, a slight complication.

The python was apparently hibernating so ‘deep’ inside that removal by force would risk damaging the taxi’s engine.

The cab hence had to be sent to a workshop so mechanics could dismantle the engine and release the snake safely.

Glad nobody was injured throughout the incident

Thankfully, no human or snake was harmed throughout the incident.

If there’s a lesson that we can learn from this, perhaps it’s never to leave your bonnet open or risk having mysterious animals inside it.
