Sheng Siong Has Rice & Eggs For S$5.50, NS Servicemen Can Buy Groceries For The Fam

Sheng Siong Has S$5.50 Deals Till 31 Jul For NS Servicemen

Recently, NS servicemen from past and present received a recognition package that consists of S$100 worth of credits.

Although the money seemed to be locked up in a mobile app, crafty users have found ways to translate digital currency into cold hard cash.

And what better way to spend that money than at Sheng Siong, who’s running a major promotion to commemorate NS55.

Everyday essentials such as rice and eggs are going for just S$5.50 each. Naturally, there is limited stock so the promotion will only be available while stocks last.

Sheng Siong S$5.50 deals available while stocks last

On 9 Jul, Sheng Siong Singapore took to Facebook to announce their new promotion in line with the NS55 anniversary.

For the month of July, they will be having four deals on various essentials for just S$5.50.

For example, Sheng Siong is offering up a 2kg bag of rice from Royal Golden Grain and Heritage Farm Singapore eggs for just S$5.50 each.

The family will definitely thank you for your service, in more ways than one.

To fuel your next IPPT attempt, there are also S$5.50 deals for a two-pack of regular OREO multi-packs and 100PLUS powder boxes.

As with any great lobang, Sheng Siong has warned that the promotion will only run while stocks last.

Present NS servicemen ID to score the sweet deals

Sheng Siong has also placed a few extra steps for NS servicemen to go through before they can go ham with their purchases.

To be entitled to these sweet deals, the servicemen will have to produce their identification cards.

This can come in the form of their 11B’s or SAFRA membership cards.

Cardholders will also have to be present during the transaction as Sheng Shiong won’t accept photocopies of their identification cards.

Lastly, each customer can purchase up to five sets per transaction.

That means, a serviceman can essentially settle the family’s rice supply for a good few weeks.

Perks for the whole family

With S$100 essentially in our pockets, NS servicemen will be hard-pressed to find a better way to spend their gift.

While cynics might label Sheng Siong’s promotion as ‘opportunistic’, a timely lobang is better than having none.

Besides, it’s great that you can help your family using your credits, rather than scratch your head over what to do with them.
