Woman pretends to be wedding guest to steal S$760 from home in Malaysia
A woman pretended to be a wedding guest to gain entry into a family’s home in Kelantan, Malaysia, on 1 Feb. Afterward, she stole a handbag containing RM2,500 (S$763) and fled the scene.
In a Facebook post, the bride’s brother-in-law, Ameer Hakimi, shared that the incident took place during his sister-in-law’s wedding celebrations when the woman posed as a guest.

According to Mr Ameer, the woman pretended to use the toilet but instead stole the cash from the home.
CCTV footage of the theft has garnered significant attention, amassing more than 529,000 views at the time of writing.
Woman engaged with other people inside the house
In the video, the woman is seen interacting with guests as she enters the house.
She descends the stairs and moves across the room, but moments later returns to a cabinet, where she reaches for a white bag at the top.

She disappears from the footage, only to reappear more than a minute later, hurriedly exiting the house.
While she was no longer seen holding the white bag, her tote appeared noticeably fuller than before.

Homeowner urged woman to return the money she stole
Mr Ameer appealed to netizens to share the video in hopes of identifying the woman.
He also urged her to return the stolen money, even if anonymously, adding that she could even leave it outside the door.
However, Pasir Mas District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Kama Azural Mohamed said that no police report had been filed regarding the incident, according to Sinar Plus.
