Car driver assisting with police investigations after accident near Changi Airport
An 82-year-old man died on Friday (3 April) after being involved in a car accident near Changi Airport.
Photos sent to The Straits Times by a reader showed a black multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that had collided into a barrier along Airport Boulevard.

MPV wrecked in accident near Changi Airport
The MPV’s bonnet was almost totally wrecked, with its engine exposed.
Its windshield was also cracked, and its airbags had been deployed.
The MPV was observed to have the logo of LTS, a local limousine service.
An ambulance was also at the scene, with paramedics assisting the car’s occupants.
LTA warns of accident along Airport Boulevard
In a post on X at 12.21am on Saturday (4 April), the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said an accident had occurred along Airport Boulevard, in the direction of T1 Boulevard and after T3 Arrival Drive.

Motorists were advised to avoid lane 2.

In response to queries from MS News, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 11.25pm on 3 April.
It took place along Airport Boulevard, towards the Terminal 1 slip road into Terminal 2, and involved a car which was believed to have self-skidded.
An 82-year-old male car passenger was sent to the hospital unconscious, while three others were sent to the hospital in a conscious state — a 60-year-old male driver and two female passengers aged 44 and 74.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), which was alerted at the same time, told MS News that all four were conveyed to Changi General Hospital.

However, the 82-year-old passenger subsequently passed away.
The 60-year-old male car driver is assisting with police investigations, which are ongoing.
