Instagram Scammer Asks For $8,000, Netizen Hilariously Leads Him On

Netizen Offered Instagram Scammer A Ride On His Private Helicopter

What would you do if a complete stranger demands $8,000 from you on Instagram?

Ignore and block? Well most of us would.

But not for netizen Lee Zhenyaw, who was clearly in the mood for a prank.

Here’s a breakdown of his hilarious conversation with a would-be scammer that really made our day.

Bro, can borrow 8k?

The conversation started when a stranger slid into Zhenyaw’s DM asking if he had connections to someone who had $8,000 to spare.

Zhenyaw referred him to an Ah Long. The stranger then promptly lowered his demand to just $4,000

Zhenyaw asked the stranger about his purpose in borrowing the money — claiming that if it were important, he could potentially hook him up with someone.

Apparently, the would-be scammer claimed it was due to his gambling antics.

Like most commercial transactions, Zhenyaw insisted on establishing some sort of relationship before they continued with business.

Zhenyaw then proposed a brilliant suggestion to help bridge the trust gap — a video of the stranger dabbing as collateral for his debt.

The stranger hilariously agreed to Zhenyaw’s ridiculous suggestion.

But the catch was that Zhenyaw had to pass him the money at his place, as the scammer didn’t have enough money to pay for the cab fare down.

Like a true bro, Zhenyaw offered the stranger a ride on his private chopper instead.

The stranger then sent his bank account number, asking our philanthropic friend to transfer the funds electronically.

All previous demands of receiving the money in person were promptly thrown out of the window.

The finishing blow

Then out of nowhere, like a McGregor left hand, Zhenyaw dealt the finishing blow.

That obviously didn’t go down well with the stranger, who turned vulgar almost instantly.

Putting yourself in his shoes

Now you know what to do the next time a stranger asks you for money online.

Offer him a ride on your private helicopter — and see if he takes the bait.

Jokes aside, if you were in Zhenyaw’s shoes, what other creative ways would you have dealt with such a situation?
