Train Your Pokemon To Dance With Adorable Instagram Filters
For the brave few among us who are still playing Pokemon Go, we bet you’ve always wished you could train your team to bust out more impressive moves.
By moves, we mean dance moves just like Detective Pikachu.
A man who calls himself the Dancing Pokemon Trainer has finally done it.
With the help of a simple Instagram filter by @lperezsanders, you can now pit Charmander against Pikachu in an all-out dance battle.
Here’s a Mewtwo boogie-ing inside a Mario game to get you in the mood for what’s to come.

Dancing Pokemon in the palm of your hands
Mr Perez Sanders uses the Augmented Reality (AR) function popularised by Pokemon Go, to create an AR filter so you can project dancing Pokemon on any surface.
Here’s how Charmander breaks it down for us on a keyboard.
To activate the filter, you can swipe up on the display and point your camera towards a designated surface.
Charmander, Mew & Mr Mime are masterful dancers
Charmander will proceed to dance adorably to whatever tune you choose to play.
Not too keen on playing with fire in the palm of your hand? You can summon the rarest psychic Pokemon Mew to wiggle adorably on your desk too.
Your mum won’t be too pleased to find out Mr Mime’s been stealing the Yakult in your fridge, but you could warn her anyway.
Choose your Pokemon & swipe up for the filter
If you wish to try the filter out yourself, simply head over to Mr Perez’s Instagram account and look for the Insta-stories that are bookmarked on top.
They’re categorised by Pokemon type, so all you have to do is swipe up to activate the filter on your own phone.
Then you can deploy your Pokemon of choice to engage in a close combat dance battle with your friends.
Here’s a list of all the Pokemon available so far:

Be the very best Pokemon dance trainers
Though we’re still holding out hope for the day that we can live among real Pokemon, this filter is a quick remedy to cheer up a friend or loved one who’s swamped with work.
Try tagging your friends when you ‘spot’ a random Dragonite dancing on the MRT during your commute, to bamboozle them into thinking you trained them yourself.
What other fictional characters would you like to see dance among us? We’d love to hear from you in the comments below.
