Cats Abandoned In Marsiling In Need Of New Homes
While some pets are lucky to have loving owners, others are not as fortunate.
A netizen has taken to Facebook to appeal for fosterers and adopters for over 10 cats who were abandoned in Marsiling.
Here’s her post in full.
Ex-owner moved out & abandoned cats
Back in 2018, the former owner of the cats abandoned them after shifting house.
The cats, mainly Russian blues, were left behind at a HDB void deck in Marsiling, creating problems for residents in the area.
These included defecation and urination, as well as loud fights between cats.
Initially, all the cats were unsterilised, but they have since undergone Trap-Neuter-Release-Manage (TNRM) and are now sterilised.
Criteria for adoption
If you’re keen to give the cats a home, here are some criteria you’d have to meet:
- Your house will need to have mesh windows and gates to prevent the cats from escaping and even worse, falling to their death.
- You’ll have to keep the cats strictly indoors.
- Post-adoption, if you change your mind, you must return the cats instead of abandoning them.
- Prior to adoption, you’ll have to allow home visits to assess the suitability of your house for the cats to live in.
Give the cats a loving home today
Those who wish to help, you may contact Ms Siau — the Facebook user who posted the appeal — via private message on Facebook.
We hope all the cats will find loving homes soon that they can have a safer and more comfortable space to spend the rest of their lives in.
