But an exotic animal like a Panda?

Except not really.

Upon closer inspection, they are Chows Chows, a type of dog breed.

Are Panda Chow Chows now a thing?

The owner, Meng Jiang was walking three of her Panda Chows Chows near ION and it certainly got a lot of heads turning.

Meng Jiang has started her own business, PandaChowChows, where people can book her Panda Chow Chows for events, photoshoots, birthday parties, and many more.

Her adorable Chow Chows, TuDou, YüMi, and DouDou love their appearance.

According to her business webpage, “When she (DouDou) came home after her makeover, she couldn’t stop running around the house showing off her new look to YuMi and TuDou.”

Chow Chows’ health are not at risk although parts of their fur are dyed

While most people are swooning over the cuteness of these Panda Chow Chows, some people were concerned for the health of the dogs as parts of their fur are dyed.

On the FAQ page of PandaChowChow’s website, it states that the dye is 100% organic, non-toxic and safe for dogs. The ingredients used in the dye consists of Purified water, food dye and colourants. All ingredients are approved by the FDA, FD&C and the Personal Care Products Council (formally known as the CTFA).

Moreover, a patch test is always done before applying the dye on our Panda Chow Chows.

So dog-lovers and animal activists, do not worry! The Panda Chow Chows are perfectly happy and is even taken for walks along Orchard Road for people to admire.
