Don’t let its dull appearance fool you, for this is a creature full of marvels.

Dubbed the ‘blob’, this enigmatic organism is literally brainless, yet boasts nearly 720 sexes, among other unusual traits.

Unclear if it’s an animal or fungus

According to an Agence France-Presse video, the creature has been in existence for millions of years, but scientists are still unsure about what exactly it is.

For one, scientists are unclear if the blob’s an animal or fungus, or something else in between.

At times, the blob showcases animalistic behaviour like learning and was even able to solve problems like getting out of a maze.

It can also detect and digest food, and move even though it does not have any legs.

Additionally, scientists were shocked to find that blobs were able to transmit information when they were merged despite the absence of a brain.

By the way, it also has nearly 720 sexes, because why stop at just 2 right?
