Elderly woman breaks ribs after man shoves her at Hougang void deck
Peeved that his advances were rebuffed, a 38-year-old man shoved an elderly woman to the ground at a void deck in Hougang.
This caused her to suffer injuries, including a broken rib.

Man & woman fool around at rooftop garden
The incident occurred on 3 Jan this year, after the man met the 68-year-old woman for drinks and music, reported Shin Min Daily News.
Court documents did not specify the nature of their relationship.
The pair then went to a rooftop garden and began engaging in intimate behaviour.
However, they stopped when the woman expressed that she wasn’t comfortable.

Later, the pair moved to the void deck of Block 522 Hougang Avenue 6.

The man, still dissatisfied, wanted to continue their intimate interaction, but the woman refused.
An argument ensued, during which the man shoved the woman to the ground at 4.07am.
According to the charge sheet, he had also pushed her earlier at the lift lobby of Block 521 at 4.01am.
Elderly woman suffers fractured rib, hospitalised for 16 days
The shove caused the woman to sustain injuries.
According to a medical report from Changi General Hospital, she sustained a hematoma — a broken blood vessel — on her ear, bruising on her cheek, and a fractured rib.
She was hospitalised for 16 days.

Man jailed for 11 weeks
The man faced one charge of wounding with intent and pleaded guilty on Friday (6 Dec).
The prosecution said he had known that the woman was vulnerable to serious injury due to her age but continued to be violent with her without provocation.
However, considering that he had readily pleaded guilty and it was his first offence, the prosecution called for 11 weeks’ jail.
He could have been jailed for five years and/or fined up to S$10,000.
Another charge of violence was taken into consideration when sentencing.
