6 sent to hospital in PIE chain collision
On Tuesday (26 Nov), six vehicles were involved in a chain collision on the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) towards Tuas. The accident occurred at about 7.15am.
A video of the aftermath of the accident has since circulated on social media.

Five cars and a van were seen on the left-most lane of the expressway which had since been cordoned off by the relevant authorities.
The rears of a few of the vehicles appeared crushed from the impact of the collision.
Additionally, a van belonging to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was seen parked at the scene.
6 people were conveyed to the hospital in conscious condition
In response to MS News‘ queries, SCDF confirmed that they were alerted to a road traffic accident along PIE towards Tuas, before the Jalan Bahar Exit.
They subsequently conveyed five people to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and one additional person to the National University Hospital (NUH).
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) also confirmed the PIE collision.
According to the police, a 53-year-old male car driver and his five van passengers – aged between 26 and 61 – were conveyed to the hospital. They were all in a conscious condition.
Investigations are still ongoing.
