Primary school student tries to ‘bribe’ Labubu seller in Tampines
A video of a primary school student passionately bargaining for a Labubu toy at Century Square in Tampines has been making rounds on the internet.
The video was initially uploaded onto TikTok by Atasha — a Labubu seller who goes by @ata5ha_ on TikTok.

In the video, the 11-year-old was seen negotiating with Atasha to get his hands on the viral toy.
After his ‘proposals’ were turned down by the 16-year-old seller, the boy proceeded to bribe her with a bottle from Owala. For context, water bottles from the brand sell for between S$40 and S$80.
Unfortunately, his proposed “bribe” was turned down by Atasha as the latter already had an Owaala bottle.
Atasha also stated that she was merely an employee and hence was unable to give discounts.
“If I was the boss, I would have given you a discount. But I’m not the boss,” said Atasha.
Changed tactics & began securing sales for shop
Abandoning all hopes of getting a discount, the Labubu enthusiast shifted strategies and started securing sales for the booth.
Like a seasoned salesman, the boy approached neighbouring stalls and used an array of tactics to reel in potential customers.

“The pouch is S$10. Very premium quality,” the boy was heard convincing a potential customer to buy an item from the Labubu booth.
Managed to snag Labubu toy he wanted
Speaking to MS News, Atasha shared that the humourous encounter occurred last Friday (25 Oct).
She added that the primary school boy eventually managed to snag a Labubu doll from the ‘Have A Seat’ series — the model he initially wanted. The doll was sold for S$60.

Despite getting his desired toy, the 16-year-old shared that the student was “quite sad” as he wasn’t able to secure a sale even after an hour.
“Some were also shocked that a little kid was trying to promote Labubu toys to them,” she shared.
Netizens impressed by boy’s persistence
The TikTok video has since gone viral, amassing nearly 500,000 views at the time of writing.
Several netizens took to the comments section to express their amazement at the boy’s determination.
