Sembawang Hot Spring Park Will Also Have A New Cascading Pool
After 16 months of renovation, Singaporeans who miss submerging themselves in the ‘onsens’ at Sembawang Hot Spring Park will soon be able to do so again.
On Tuesday (24 Dec), Lianhe Zaobao reported that the park will open to the public on 4 Jan 2020, larger and with enhanced amenities.

According to the National Parks Board (NParks), ongoing construction works at the park will be completed by Oct 2019.
However, the park will only be opened to the public next January as roads leading in will only be ready next year in 2020.
New floral walk, cascading pool, and café
The newly developed park will reportedly be 10 times its original size.
New attractions added to the park include a floral walk with flowers commonly found in a kampung, such as golden trumpet and oleander.

NParks has not revealed pictures of the floral walk yet, but we imagine it will look similar to this one at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
Visitors can also look forward to a cascading pool complete with a temperature meter which will replace existing pipes and taps.

Additionally, there’ll be a new café with greenery integrated onto its facade that will allow visitors to unwind while admiring the beauty of the surrounding scenery.
Here are some of the other amenities planned for the park:
- Sheltered seating areas
- Bicycle racks
- Toilets
- Pail storage area
Time for a soak at the park!
With the reopening of the park in sight, perhaps couples can consider going for a soak together instead of the usual movie and dinner.
