Driver injured after car flipped in Yishun accident
On Wednesday (27 Nov) morning, a driver was left injured after her car flipped as a result of a collision with another vehicle.
A video of the accident has since been uploaded to Facebook.
The clip showed a silver car springing onto a road unexpectedly and crashing into a dark-coloured vehicle that was driving past in the opposite direction.
Based on the traffic light signal, the silver car seemed to have run a red light.
After the collision, the dark-coloured car flew, flipping over in the middle of the three-lane road. Bits of debris from the car were also strewn across the road.
In the video clip, the front of the silver car was seen to have sustained damages to its front.
A photo later uploaded to a Telegram group showed an ambulance parked at the scene and an individual warning other vehicles of the accident.
Driver conveyed conscious to SGH
In response to queries by MS News, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed that they were alerted to a road traffic accident near the junction of Yishun Avenyue 2 and Yishun Avenue 7 at about 8.50am.
They subsequently conveyed one person to Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) also confirmed the accident to MS News.
They informed that the casualty, a 31-year-old female driver, was conveyed to the hospital in a conscious condition.
Police investigations are ongoing.
