Changing diapers in Kopitiam

In the photos posted, a child was seen standing with his buttocks exposed on a dining bench in VivoCity’s Kopitiam.

A woman, likely to be his mother, changed his diaper openly in the food court with other diners around them. Diapers could be seen strewn about on the bench.

A packet of wet tissue was on the table, used to clean the child’s buttocks during the diaper change.

According to the post’s captions, the mother had “pried her kid’s ass open to clean his shit”.

The photos show other diners eating near the pair.

As the inappropriate scene unfolded, the Facebook user who posted the photos said they reached out to the food court manager, who subsequently told the mother to stop.

“She didn’t look apologetic at all,” the OP said.

Netizens shocked

Netizens responding to the post expressed shock and disgust over the mother’s actions.

Some called out her inconsideration and selfishness in changing her child’s diapers in the middle of a dining area.

Others pointed out that there are toilets readily available in the mall. Even if there was not one immediately close by, exposing her child in this manner was unacceptable.
