Chuan Park showflat attracts 15,000 people across the weekend, condo located next to MRT station
The Chuan Park condo at Lorong Chuan recently launched a sales gallery that has been attracting many visitors.
A video on TikTok posted on 31 Oct by property agent Ms Melina Yap showed a massive crowd outside the Chuan Park Showflat.
A long queue stretched far outside the showflat, lining up outside one of the Lorong Chuan MRT station exits.
It was even more crowded inside the Chuan Park tentage. A sea of people stretched into the distance, some seated at tables to discuss things with property agents.
The TikTok post has since garnered over 200k views and over 400 comments, with many commenters wondering how the visitors are able to afford to get a condo during “bad times”.
One commenter even glibly remarked: “Who says times are bad?”
According to EdgeProp, the 31 Oct sales gallery launch opened at 10am and attracted around 5,000 visitors by closing time at 8pm.
Kingsford Group, Chuan Park’s developer, claimed that over 15,000 people visited the showflat from 31 Oct to 3 Nov.
Neighbourhood’s first condo in 14 years
Mr Ismail Gafoor, CEO of PropNex, stated that Chuan Park had a strong location next to an MRT station and was the neighbourhood’s first condo launch in 14 years.
As such, he expected very good sales of at least 50% of units on launch day, 16 Nov.
This figure of over 450 condo units would be the highest of any project on the first day of launch for 2024 so far.
The Chuan Park project consists of five blocks containing 916 units, ranging from two-room to five-room houses.
Prices start at over S$1.5 million for a two-room unit and S$3.7 million for a five-room.
