Apple Fans Prep For Insane iPhone Xs Queues, 24 Hours Before Launch

Singaporeans Turn Up In Droves At Apple Store, Day Before Release

Well, we can’t say we didn’t see this coming.

Despite the initial outcry over the high prices of the latest series of iPhones – iPhone Xs, iPhone Xr & iPhone Xr Max, hoards of Apple fans have already joined the queues outside Orchard Road’s Apple Store.

24 whole hours before the official launch — talk about being kiasu.

In other words, if you’re planning to join the queue, you’d better go prepared.

We’ve done the scouting for you, so you’ll know what to expect.

Insane queues

Apple Store Singapore’s geotag is awash with hopeful fans sharing Insta-snippets as they wait patiently to get their hands on the latest iPhone.

Prices of the new models aren’t exactly a walk in the park either.

But that doesn’t seem to be deterring any of these people in these long snaking queues.

Then again, we’ve talked to a long-time Apple fan who’s convinced that this edition is still worth his money.

These Apple fans would probably agree with him as well.

Spirits are high

Netizens have also shared pictures of their paper bracelets which officially ‘chope’ them a slot to buy an iPhone.

We think it’s wonderful that queues are bringing people together, instead of causing unhappiness.

A little mood boost is in order after 2 MRT-related faults, & a 38-min islandwide blackout.

Good things come to those who wait

You can get your iPhone Xs & Xs Max at all Apple stores from Friday (21 Sep).

But if you’re not a hardcore Apple fanatic, you can also pre-order them online from our 3 main telcos.

We’ve compiled a price comparison chart, to help you make your decision.
