Realme Lets You Loan Their Latest $469 Smartphone For 2 Weeks Before Deciding On The Switch To Android

Realme XT Features A 64MP Quad-Lens Camera & VOOC 3.0 Flash Charging

Having done all your research about the phone you’ve been eyeing, you head down to the store ready to make a purchase. But there, with the device in hand, you hesitate: is this phone really the phone I want?

This is where play-testing the phone may come useful — exactly what realme is letting potential customers do.

With the launch of its latest realme XT, customers will be allowed to loan a set for 14 days for free starting 14 Nov. You get to bring it around, use it to text your friends, take shots of scenery, watch shows, and even to see if it fits right in your jeans pocket, etc.

You can register for the trial here.

Quad-lens camera, fast charging & powerful graphics

The realme XT comes with an astronomic 64MP* Quad-lens camera. MP means megapixels — so the higher the MP, the better. For comparison, the latest iPhone has a front-facing camera of 12MP. We’ll leave you to draw a conclusion here.

*For the tech-whiz, the camera actually takes 4 16MP pictures and then synthesises them into a 64MP one. To take a single 64MP on a phone is ridiculous, said our camera guy.

Another major feature of the phone is its VOOC 3.0 flash charge. From early testing, the phone can be fully charged in just 80 minutes.

The hardware extends to an impressive feature with what’s called ‘HyperBoost 2.0’ technology — allowing even the most graphically demanding games to run smoothly.

Comes in 2 mother-of-pearl colours

The phone comes in 2 colours — Pearl White and Pearl Blue. Both, we think, are equally gorgeous.

Realme XT will go for $469 for a 128GB storage space, 8GB RAM model.

You can purchase them at any realme authorised retailers or on online stores like Lazada, Qoo10 and Shopee from 9 Nov.

Realme wireless earbuds

You may also choose to complement the realme XT with realme’s first wireless bluetooth earbuds. Created in collaboration with the one and only Alan Walker, the buds deliver music with good bass and can last 12 hours on a full charge.

The earbuds are also attached to a rubber neckband that is especially helpful when you’re taking them out for a run. These retail for $79.

Stand a chance to win a realme XT & realme Buds Wireless

When testing out the phone, make sure you’re snapping as many nice pictures as possible.

That’s because the trial customer with the best series of photos will walk away with a free realme XT and realme Buds Wireless, worth a total of $548. Simply post the pictures on your Instagram page, tag @realme_singapore, and share your experience with the realme XT.

The contest starts as soon as the trial does, on 14 Nov, and ends in Jan 2020. To register, click here.

From the looks of it – impressive camera, lasting battery, robust graphics, reasonable price point – the realme XT smartphone may just be, as their campaign name says, ‘All You Need’.
