M’sian rider who died in PIE accident had just celebrated birthday, leaves behind 2 children

Motorcyclist who died in PIE accident was a dutiful son & father

Earlier this week, a 43-year-old motorcyclist died after allegedly self-skidding along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE).

More information has since emerged about the deceased rider.

Speaking to 8world News, the victim’s younger brother revealed that the motorcyclist was a Malaysian from Kedah who worked in Singapore.

He also shared that his brother had celebrated his birthday earlier this month and wished to take good care of his mother and two children.

Family of deceased rider appealing for footage of PIE accident

In an interview with 8world News, Mr Huang Wen Jie (name transliterated from Chinese) said his older brother Mr Huang Wen Bin has been working in Singapore for four to five years.

The 43-year-old victim, who worked as a salesperson for a beverage company, was reportedly en route to work when the accident happened on 24 Oct.

However, Mr Huang Wen Jie found it difficult to believe that his brother had self-skidded, given his riding experience of more than a decade.

As such, he is appealing for witnesses to submit footage of the accident so his family can have a clearer understanding of what had happened:

“We only want to know the truth about how my brother died. Otherwise it’s very difficult for us to let go,” he said.

The older Huang reportedly passed away from serious head injuries.

Leaves behind 2 children

Mr Huang Wen Bin was said to be someone who took great care of his family, and always repatriated money back home whenever he received his salary.

Unsurprisingly, his mother burst into tears upon hearing of her eldest son’s demise.

The deceased also leaves behind two children, aged six and 18.

During his birthday celebrations earlier this month, he made a birthday wish to take good care of his mother and two children.

His body will be brought to his hometown for his funeral next Monday (28 Oct).
