Car flips at road divider in Seletar West Link, front tyre missing

Car crashes and flips in Seletar West Link on 8 Dec

A car flipped in a dramatic accident at Seletar West Link on Friday night (8 Dec).

The incident occurred near the junction of Seletar West Link and Seletar Aerospace Drive, reportedly at around 10.50pm.

Photos shared in the ‘SGRoad Blocks / Traffic News’ Telegram group showed a silver car overturned in the grassy road divider.

Numerous individuals gathered around the scene, seemingly trying to help.

Another angle revealed the car’s rear elevated and resting against a tree.

Images on Facebook highlighted the car’s extensive front-end damage, with one tyre entirely missing.

The roof of the car also appeared crushed, suggesting the severity of the crash.

The car’s back door was open, likely to allow the occupants to exit safely.

Dirt and debris were scattered across the road.

Electrical box destroyed by accident

Among the wreckage was a large, white metallic box that appeared to be a damaged electrical box typically found in the road divider.

A shirtless man was spotted walking near the wrecked car, though his connection to the vehicle remains unclear.

An eyewitness on the Telegram group reported an ambulance arriving at the scene.

Two police motorcycles were also seen at the crash site, where officers appeared to assess the damage.

Car believed to have self-skidded

In response to MS News’ queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the incident at about 10.20pm.

Its officers assessed one person for minor injuries but the person declined to be sent to the hospital.

The police told MS News that it believes the car self-skidded at the junction.

A 32-year-old man sustained minor injuries and is assisting with ongoing police investigations.
